This app shows the TargetAPI for every app you’ve installed on your device. This gives you the ability to view which of your apps already support the most recent features released for the Android operating system.
The most recent update gives you the ability to view system information, including the screen size and resolution, as well as information about the CPU and memory. You are also able to check the state of your digital rights management system, such as the current Widevine security level.
Any app’s AndroidManifest.xml file will be displayed in the New section of Android Studio. If you are using Android 6 Marshmallow or a later version, this app will tell you which other applications on your device support the new granular permission settings.
As new versions of Android are released, there is a possibility that some styles and behaviors will be updated. An app developer should ensure that the targetSdkVersion value is set to the most recent Android version available to take advantage of these changes and make sure that the app matches the style of the device that each user is using.
